I didn’t realize that agencies tRump has gutted or dismantled through EO like USAID, the Institute of Peace, the CFPB, the DOE, etc., can be reinstated once a new President is sworn in. These agencies were created by Congress, not the President. Can’t wait for him to be gone for good.

USIP is not part of the federal government. It is “an independent nonprofit” separate from the government, according to terms set by Congress. Rubio’s State Department isn’t misappropriating resources from another branch (bad enough). This is looting.

Ambassador George Moose argues that durable peace cannot be improvised after war, and that dismantling the U.S. Institute of Peace has stripped the United States of an independent, bipartisan tool for conflict prevention, mediation, and post-conflict stabilisation.
