My dad never sat me down to talk about consent. I don't know how many dads did in the 90's. But by the way he treated my mom, my sisters and other women in his life, I learned how to treat women with respect before anything else. Be like my dad. Also teach about consent.

as always, the answer here is to listen to survivors and then to push for actual, meaningful change. but when that doesn't happen, the focus shifts to pressuring survivors to relive their trauma and share it in public forums, be confronted by it in public forums, and THEN have nothing happen
