The newly complete East Market redesign is generally pretty good but also the embodiment of Louisville's slowness when it comes to non-car centric infrastructure projects. I was in elementary school when this was proposed and its complete when I am half a semester away from finishing grad school.

The bike lane I would have to use to get anywhere more "in-town" without going miles out of the way. (Despite being signed 35, the average speed is more like 50)

A bike lane on a 4 lane semi-divided urban stroad, less than 3 feet wide, not considering the storm drain gutters.

Happy #TrolleyTuesday In the early 90s, Louisville had a light rail commission that included a subcommittee for an "excursion train". A waterfront trolley service that would mostly serve tourists, connecting the McAlpine Locks to the Wharf by the Belvedere.

Was looking at 1-LV's website, the local subsidiary for the firm Zyyo (which owns half of NuLu), and noticed a "confidential" marked development at Main and Clay. Wonder what this could be. The gold color indicates it is not owned by Zyyo, though.
