2/ Am I feeling loss, yes, it's sad that he wasn't feeling well but felt he had to work that day; it's loss that his wife and college aged son lost a support and companion; it's sad that he espoused brown people were taking good jobs and Democrats were stealing control.

I've read a few black authors and they identified white christian America as the bad faith actors over a century ago. The issue is the in-group has to *accept it*; as long as they can maintain a majority > they can deny the truth > they don't have to change.

Do you think Republicans know what a mess they've gotten us all into? Being the party of pro-business has meant leaning towards not more regulation but less, not worker rights but corporate rights. They fear replacement so they give power to Capitialism and it builds a machine to replace people.

As a midling christian, God explicitly connects good faith with doing good for others. I think it is possible that God might be above equality, science and the Constitution. above Human rights? Nah, if your Christianity presumes/reserves special rights for itself; then yourself is above God. #2+2

Rhetorical–In my "christian" community, why is it reproducible that 85% of white evangelicals and 9% of black christians persistently vote for Maga candidates? The christian right has religionized race+politics bc it's their weapon to secure social/economic supremacy.

If, and that's a big if, there is to be accountability for breaking laws, then people will have to be prepared, on the lookout for the signs that the past is being erased. When we hear words like unity, reunion, peacemaking; later stage words are reconciliation, bygones, forgiveness. Every time.

I would characterize it as a choice between Herrenvolk democracy vs Liberal democracy. a. they don't respect a word Jesus taught, and b. the policies they pursue protect Whiteness "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

4/ I've heard this argument before, as in empathy can be paralyzing therefore it's bad. Like, we can't be always bearing other people's burdens; we have to take care of our needs too. It's been a huge disappointment for me that so many prominent (and lesser known) Christians dislike humility.

3/ humility begets empathy. If we're proud (in a negative sense) we think we're special, entitled to rights others aren't. The entire ecosystem of Christianity runs on humility. It's in the character of Whiteness that humility which leads to too much empathy is bad. +

Woke up thinking about civility again, how the Whiteness demands it and Christianity's doctrine supports it. The first three in the 10 commandments and the 8 beatitudes establish humility as the essential Virtue of this faith. If maga wants an off-ramp, they need only read their own literature. +

What Hamer shows us is that wagelessness & lawlessness are bound together in our society. Racialzed groups are not targeted arbitrarily, but as a means to plunder—to advance elite white systems of profit & power. The funding cuts, roundups, exec orders, etc. today are means towards that same goal.

Empirically this is true. Secular humanism is a higher moral standard than christians who support denying due process, separating families, human trafficking: kids to foster, deporting parents to third countries, stripping UsAid abroad and all the safetynets for the poor/middle class domestically.

If anyone wants to 'get me' prolly the first thing to understand me is that I don't hold nonchristians to the christian moral standard as I do Christians. Christians must be better than the secular standard or they're no different; if we let that go then any immorality can pass as christian.
