I'm trying to open the system web browser from an installed PWA (think target="_blank" on an anchor tag). Apparently that is not possible: web.dev/learn/pwa/wi... 😞 The URL under which the PWA is available has changed, and I want to direct users to the new place. Anyone know of a workaround?

It's crazy how shady meetup.com has become. Clicking on virtually any element of a meetup's page (e.g. Attendees) opens a blocking modal asking you to sign up for Meetup+. There's no option to close or cancel. But hey, at least you get some random AI-generated image slop with it...

I don’t hate AI. For instance, I find the math behind it very interesting. But I can’t square the hype with the fact that it hasn’t meaningfully improved my life, or that of my family and friends, and has the potential to be hugely disruptive to society. That makes it “net negative” for me.
