Instead of an ‘I voted’ sticker, I want a code for my television that changes political ads to frolicking puppies and chonky bears. Voter participation would sky rocket.

Love voting early. Love voting by mail. Love voting at my kitchen table. Love that I get a little "I voted" sticker with my ballot, even when voting at home.
A hand holds an “I voted” sticker next to a ballot envelope. The sticker is round. The top half is green, and says, “I voted!” in white letters, chunky font, all caps. The bottom half is blue, and says “Ann Arbor, MI” in a similarly chunky font. The center of the sticker has a large green tree with a blue trunk, which mimics the city flag.

Not pictured: the delighted owner of the sticker, who thinks voting is the coolest thing ever.

AP Stylebook warns against anthropomorphizing AI systems: “Avoid language that gives them human characteristics… Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.”
APStylebook @APStylebook

Artificial intelligence systems do not think, feel, want or understand. Avoid language that gives them human characteristics. This is called anthropomorphizing, when we ascribe human traits, emotions or behaviors to non-human things, such as animals or inanimate objects.
Instead, explain what a system does, how well it performs, who built it and who could be affected by it.

About a year ago, I started buying meat from a local family farm and I'm feeling very good about that decision. I only have meat a few times a week anyway, but it's nice to know the source. Yes, it's an extra trip, about fifteen minutes outside of town, but so, so worth it.

Haley Stevens has benefited from nearly $60 million in outside spending (about 1/2 from AIPAC alone). Given that those outside groups are mostly supporting her because of positions she shares with Mike Rogers, that $$$ will dry up in the general. If she wins the primary, Dems lose the general.
