Very likely the best 5bux you'll spend all day. It's funny, it's got heart, and it's a beautiful adventure you shouldn't miss.

I love STRAWBERRY MANSION beyond words, but I never realized how prescient it was.

OBEX is my new favourite film of the year so far. Like a cross between Terry Gilliam's Brazil and Darren Aronofsky's Pi, OBEX is eerie and minimalist yet loaded with charm and sweetness, reverence for computer history and wonderful electronic music, and I loved almost every second of it. 4.5/5

So with a little redesign Kurt looks more like a bunny.

Albert Birney @albertbirney.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

First attempt was digital. Then with color pencils. Wasn't happy with these designs because he looked too much like a cat, and not a bunny.

Early on in the film Kurt finds a large egg. This is an important moment.

We're still in the early stages where we're figuring out what Kurt, our bunny protagonist, will look like. First we drew him digitally and that was ok. Then redrew with color pencils and we liked that more. Finally we changed his design a bit and liked that the best 🐰

Look at this wonderful thing ✨

A postcard with Tux and Fanny hand drawn on the back is held to my refrigerator by a magnet shaped like a fried egg. The words “I just wanted to become great.” are printed in Russian and English. A small image of the main character from The 400 Blows staring into the camera sits alongside.

Close up of some wear from transport on the reverse side of the postcard

Felt right to put my new Tux and Fanny painting up on the wall with a 5.25” floppy disc and a Don Hertzfeldt print. Thanks for helping make my office a friendlier place @albertbirney.bsky.social

excited to see the Camp Miasma video game footage I animated is in the new trailer! It's such a beautiful and exciting movie (I love when Jane asks me to make fake video games for their movies, what a dream to animate pixels inside the worlds they create)
