If you live in Gloucestershire this is a serious reduction in representation of citizens in local government. On 1 April 2028, we will go from around 250 councillors to 110 to serve the same population. Greens in the county have opposed this, but central government went ahead with it anyway.

It does, but much of the blame lies with #Labour, who just let the privatised water companies get away with it. The vast majority of people want water (amongst others) to be nationalised, #Starmer doesn't listen & is happy for them to continue to rip us off for what is literally a shit service.

I just persuaded a Reform voter to think differently about immigration. She was complaining that foreigners overstretch the NHS. She just had a new hip, so I asked how many foreign patients were in her ward. None. I asked how many of the doctors & nurses were foreign. All bar one. It's a start.

Great article, and as you say: "Any major [political] donor is a bad donor". There's another option we could implement. A single, central fund, for all political donations. If billionaires, wants to make "altruistic donations", let them. Divvying out, wouldn't need to be complicated. #VoteGreen
