scrolling through the top pages for physical games on itch and games on rpgtrader and seeing that they're not similar at all does reaffirm my feeling that each of the platforms really does have a very different viewship and publisher base

because walton uses a bear analogy in describing props in games of make-believe, i keep thinking about bears which also reminds me of quantum bears, why are bears so commonly spontaneously jumping into people's imaginations

i love how crocheting tutorials sound basically like fighting game combo explanations, yes you wanna do a magic ring into twelve double stich, cross, then chain one and so on and so on and so on

i wonder if there are any ttrpgs with trans themes that also touch on asexual themes… as someone who is nonbinary and ace i really don’t see myself represented much anywhere but maybe a sicko somewhere in our sphere has done it

I'm not saying it doesn't HAPPEN, but "all weird indie TTRPGs are a kink thing" is reductive. There is also "designing RPGs to publish your worldbuilding bible", "designing RPGs because you invented a neat dice trick", "designing RPGs to win an argument", and "designing RPGs as an act of self harm".

digging through a box of old notebooks to find my handwritten notes on a previous book that’s now relevant again is a very fun experience (which i admit is also time consuming in a way i try to mitigate by digitalizing all my handwritten notebooks but some things fall through the cracks)

The GPU is not your enemy. The GPU was intended to channel magic smoke into the drawing of triangles, the virtuous shape. Evil men devised wicked shapes that should never have been drawn, and have used their influence to hoard the GPUs and twist the magic smoke toward the shape of their perversions.

i loved botan ep 3 but i cried a lot after ep 4, not out of sadness but simply because i was moved. there is something about the portrayal of the expressions and movements that feel so lifelike. like ibuki's expression as she paints botan's nails... the movement of the characters feet, etc
