"these researchers published a paper on something that literally any of us could have told you 🙄" ok well my supervisors wont let me write something in my thesis unless I can back it up with a citation so maybe it's a good thing that they're amplifying your voice to the scientific community in a way that prevents people from writing off your experiences as annecdotal evidence
they did the research in the first place because they believed you and wanted to tell people about it. they are not our enemies.

they did listen, that's how studies work, they asked people about their experiences and put all the data together in a nice package that can be cited

Story was pretty basic. Didn't take getting too far into the game for me to be able to guess the rough shape of the story for rest of game. But not everything needs to be 10 layers deep. It was just a solid story done well. Here's to more good Silent Hill

That's a wrap on Silent Hill Townfall. I really really liked it but maybe not loved. The atmosphere and visuals were superb. Gameplay was fun and simple enough. I enjoy a bit of stealth, helping me get the "good" ending. Biggest con for me was not enough Scottish voices.

Rolled credits on Control Resonant. What a fun & inventive game. Though I think I prefer the first, I liked the smaller intimate scale of it. A bit is lost by making it bigger. But it's a very successful move to make everything bigger and grander. So many great set pieces. Onto Silent Hill Townfall

So many posts that glaze AI nearly always fall into the trap of someone not in the industry they are talking about being amazed at what is possible. Only for people in the affected industry to inevitably tell them that this has always been possible without AI.

The thing is I do actually believe there is some room for naunce with AI but it's been squashed not by luddites but by CEOs like Altman. It suits them that the umbrella of AI includes actually useful potential tools, that they can tag onto their terrible tools.

This gets said constantly, but it worth reiterating: Games Workshop being bigger than fishing is important to shout about because you wouldn't know it from government talking points, which are rarely about anything creative or artistic. Growth won't involve fish or steel, it will involve goblins.
