In between writing scripts I’ve been gulping down this quartet of novellas. All of them good (though not the greatest of King’s works). Now wanting to read more of Holly and her adventures.

What the hell does “NO HANDS JUST ENJOY” mean? What is a “hands-free” “boiling seafood” experience? Is this what they do in Louisiana?

One year ago today my wife collapsed from a heart attack and never recovered. The past months have felt so long at times, but now I have arrived here it feels like such a short time ago. She died two days later, but today is the anniversary of the last time we ever looked into each other’s eyes.

Monday afternoon cinema club- Con Air. Finally got my hands on a Japanese blu ray for a reasonable price and now I can enjoy Nicolas Cage’s terrible haircut in full HD. One of the greatest and stupidest action movies of the 1990s, made even better by Malkovitch and Buscemi.

Today marks one year since Arthur died. I miss the little fellow a lot and so does his sister. This anniversary also marks the week running up to the death of my wife, so it’s going to be a fun August! Hug your cats close, my friends. And if they complain, hug them again and give them a churu.

Last year I was really panicking as I had no clue what would happen (plus my wife was in the hospital) so it was incredibly stressful. This year I’m much more sanguine about the whole thing.

If it’s like last year (when it first happened) it’s just going to mean soggy flooring until the rain clears as long as I keep throwing towels down and getting rid of the water. My floors are made of traditional paper, so they get waterlogged rather than the water rising and going everywhere.

Getting a sense of deja vu as my kitchen floor starts getting soaked by rising water, just like last summer... One of the most physical and oddly visceral reminders of my wife's final few weeks on this planet. It's going to be a strange and sad few weeks.

2 1/2 weeks before the new SPIDER-MAN movie get released in Korea, the film currently accounts for 14.7% of advanced ticket sales. THE ODYSSEY, which doesn’t open here until Aug. 5, has 4.1%. Na Hong-Jin’s HOPE opens July 15 and accounts for 38.7% of ticket sales.

I haven't had a drink of alcohol in almost ten months. Last night I dreamt I got drunk for the first time since then. A distinctly odd experience that was paired with some sort of murder mystery dreamscape... Not quite sure what my body and brain are trying to tell me today.
