Namjoon, you have spoken many times about reading feminist books and learning about feminism. But feminism cannot just be something you read about, talk about, or use as part of your image. It has to mean something when it is uncomfortable and when there is nothing to gain from it.
Seeing you and hoseok happily meeting, hugging, smiling with, and publicly promoting a man who assaulted women is deeply disturbing. Especially when so many of the people who support you are women.
What is the point of reading feminist books if, when faced with a real situation involving violence against women, you can simply smile beside the man who committed it and celebrate meeting him?
You don’t owe your fans perfection. But please don’t expect us to ignore the contradiction. Words about respecting women mean very little if they disappear the moment they become inconvenient.
I hope you genuinely think about this, not as idols being “cancelled,” but as human beings asking themselves what their actions communicate. Because this was not just a photo. You chose to make this interaction public, and people are allowed to be deeply disappointed by that choice.
I mentioned Namjoon more specifically because of his history of speaking about feminism and reading feminist literature, but I am NOT saying that he is the only one responsible for this.
Taehyung and Jungkook are equally disappointing for playing Chris Brown’s music during a livestream where millions of people could hear it. That is still publicly giving his music a platform and normalizing his work.

All four of them are adults and responsible for their own actions. I may have focused more on Namjoon in my post, but that does NOT mean I excuse or defend the others. I believe all four should reflect on their choices and understand why so many fans are hurt and disappointed.
I never wrote my post with the intention of hurting them. I wrote it because I was hurt. There is a difference. I don’t hate them, I don’t want anything bad to happen to them, and I’m not going anywhere.
And when BTS comes to Brazil, I will be there. I’ll be in that crowd screaming, crying, and supporting you as I always have.
But loving someone doesn’t mean pretending that person never makes mistakes. I can love BTS with all my heart and still expect them to acknowledge when they have done something wrong. I just hope they understand why this hurt so many of us.

I’ve been messing around with sun printing manga panels and then hand quilting them.

also there are no tutorials for using Pages (word but built into macs) for typesetting. Which is nuts because I’ve found it very easy to use, much easier than word. But i do often have to google things like “auto indents but not for the first paragraph of a chapter”

my years-long typesetting project is the bible typeset of TGCF with xie lian’s words in red. Book one is 393 pages in 10pt type

Page 1 of tgcf, formatted like the bible:
Among the gods of the heavens, there was a famous laughing stock known throughout the three realms.
Legend has it that eight hundred years ago, there was an ancient country within the Central Plains called Xian Le nation*.
The ancient nation of Xian Le had vast territory, abundant resources and content citizens. The country had four treasures: delicate beauties aplenty, thriving arts and literature, treasures of gold and jewels, and last but not least, their renowned Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
This person, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince......one could say he was a strange man.
The Emperor and Empress considered him to be the apple of their eyes. They doted on him immensely and would often proudly proclaim, "In the future, my son will surely become a wise monarch, leaving a reputable impression for generations to come."
Yet, in regards to what came with royalty, of riches, power and honour, the Crown Prince had no interest in any of them.
What he was interested in, quoting the very words he often said to himself, was— "I want to save the common folks!"
