Had a chat with my kids tonight about the fact that there are good and bad people in the world. Spoke about what makes someone good or bad, in simple terms. I told them we can't always stop bad people, but we can always choose to be good people. Sometimes that's all we can do, as hard as it is.

To me, the very best mothers are the single mothers, working mothers and mothers giving their children their all, despite a lack of support. Parenting is hard. Mothering comes with additional expectations. Then doing it alone is the ultimate challenge. I live in awe of mothers that do so!
