The flower, now open and reeking of death, nuzzles into the side of her face. It spreads more of the tar weeping from its center along her cheek, painting her lips. She couldn't move if she wanted to, but something about the press of petals, the trail of cool sap, eases her fear. If this thing wanted to kill her, it would have already.

Her brain distantly registers the jagged teeth lining the inner expanse of its petals, the way the vine it's attached to moves as if sizing up a meal.

Not only did I mod and lay out this entire zine in 8.5 x 11 inches with massive full page art pieces, I wrote two (2) monstery little fics. Here's a taste of vine-tentacle monster Robin. Who incidentally gets a taste of... many girls in this. ;)

Robin barely recognizes the shape in the mirror—her entire body that slick-dark color of the vines. Her eyes look brighter for the contrast, and she moves them down her form, following the swell of her breasts, the slight rise of her Venus pouch, the simple curve-and-dip of her hips. Things get murky after that. Her legs are legs, but they aren’t, the skin rippling with potential. Her arms and the sides of her body ripple too, small black would-be limbs appearing out of the surface of her skin before disappearing again.

She concentrates hard, and one of them grows larger. An extra limb sprouts from near her ribs, and she breathes in deep and thinks of the other side of her body, of a twin.

Someone knocks at the door.

“Just a—!”

But Karen Wheeler is already inside the bathroom, shutting the door behind her, wedging it shut via a clever manipulation of a cabinet door.

“I can explain,” Robin says, knowing full well that she can’t. “I…”

Karen steps closer, wrapping a manicured hand around Robin’s wrist, forcing her arm up. She wedges her nose into Robin’s armpit and inhales deep.

“Fuck, you smell so good.”

And Robin realizes she can smell Karen too. The familiar musk she knows from touching herself and smelling her own fingers. From putting her mouth on Vickie. From bringing Vickie’s panties to her nose and breathing in deep.

It’s a loud smell, filling the air of the bathroom, filling Robin’s nose and lungs.
