For a good 30+ years of my life I had no concept of what "trans" was. I just knew I wasn't into guys yet somehow desperately wished I was feminine, and that made no sense in the "queer" spectrum I was aware of up to that point. I had no words to describe my feelings. Nobody to talk to, either.
