Astarion asks, "Why isn't Gale cooking?"

"He has confined himself to his tent," Lae'zel answers.

"I asked Aldiirn if he would like for me to take over the meat dishes," says Wyll, "but he insisted I relax and wait for him to finish some ripplebark steaks."

"No one except those two get near the cooking fire," Shadowheart remarks.

Karlach begins, "that means..."

"We're having nothing but mushrooms for dinner!" everyone bemoans.

"There hasn't been a normal veggie on our plates since we entered the underdark!"

"A warrior requires meat for sustenance!"

"Guys!" Karlach pipes up, "I know how we can get meat back on the menu. Who here knows how to grill?"

Hidden by shrubbery, Wyll happily flips some beef steaks sizzling on Karlach's fiery hot backside. Lae'zel finishes off some kebabs while Shadowheart keeps watch that Aldiirn won't find them. Astarion, while not needing to eat, always enjoys sneaking around and takes up sewing repairs into Karlach's stuffed teddy, Clive.

"Fine, fine," Astarion drawls and heads out, "I shall fetch a clipboard."

Outside, Astarion gets busy rummaging through all the storage crates piled up. "Check their supplies and report back," he mocks, "Aldiirn can even make a little theft sound boring."

Jackpot! A magical life-stealing sword. "Still, it's more fun out here than in there!" He says, entirely unaware of the winged horrors descending to attack the inn.

Another Lascaux horse. From last Autumn.

Aldiirn scowls and puts a hand on Barcus's shaking shoulder to console him. "Don't waste your time on Wulbren. There's not enough crayons in the world to teach gratitude to a wanker that stingy."
