It's no surprise every moment of hubris in the arc ends either in ridicule or in disaster. The Android saga may be seen by some as Dragon Ball's most caricatural arc but I'd strongly disagree. It's one of the series more experimental storylines, whose choices inform the Buu arc in major ways

I will have time to put my thoughts into words when I read through the climax of the island portion of the arc and the Cell games but the arc's throughline is essentially a race to become the protagonist of the Dragon Ball universe. A race ultimately won by being forfeited.

French has instances of single s between vowels being pronounced /s/ (vraisemblable, parasol) but no case of double ss being /z/. The funny thing is that since the French ear is so tuned to voicing contrasts, once a pronunciation has changed it sticks (abasourdir, carrousel with /s/, not /z/)
