Genuinely, this is what bothers me the most, it's fundamentally changed my relationship with art where I'm greeting it initially with skepticism and scrutiny, I never want to feel that way about art.

The extent to which French "guetter" retains the sense of "to watch" is debatable. Old French had the meaning of "to watch over, to monitor", a meaning that survives in Canada but European usage is less clear. For me, as a child, the meaning "to actively look at" was something I perceived as vulgar

I like that the Irish for 'tonight' is related to English's word, but not so with the Irish for 'night' – while the former (anocht) maintains the common Indo-European root for 'night', the latter (oíche) is of unknown origin beyond Old Irish.

Keiko's design is dated in the early 90s it belongs to (unlike Botan who I find as timelessly cute as Bulma) but this level of detail on a character is something Togashi doesn't show in HxH until Komugi so I very much appreciate it
