I've finally done it! With the reissue of Runabout, I now have Generations updates of every Decepticon I had a G1 toy of as a kid, with the exception of the 87/88 mini-cassettes. Runabout has just one hideous design flaw, but thankfully comes packed with the tool to rectify it...

Runabout, a Decepticon who turns into an evil-looking black sedan with red windshields. This toy has a doofy face based on the comics, though, with a faceplate that only covers the mouth for some incomprehensible reason, leaving beady little eyes and a ridiculous and unnecessary nose visible. The original toy had a proper faceplate and a red visor

A slip of translucent red plastic included with Runabout, meant to be used as some kind of decoder for a color-coded map thing on the box

I had a dream about a TV show called UCB40. It was about how cartoons, like Ducktales, Scooby Doo, Gargoyles etc are all real and their shows were just jobs they had, like Roger Rabbit. Now they're unemployed. Also, separately and unrelated to this, in the B plot, Spider-Man is real.

“Lost,” my favorite show from my twenties, started 22 years ago today. There are so many scenes I love in these six seasons, but the opening scene of Season 2—after spending the summer coming up with the wildest theories about the hatch (including a spaceship, of course 😎)—was wonderful.
