Even the magic makes no sense when looked at closely. I've read the whole series more than once, and still can't find a reason why nobody used a time turner against Voldemort. I have harboured this question since I was 12. Still no answer.

The whole series is full of contradictions: centaurs are not monsters, but then they brutalise Umbridge. Slavery is bad, but only one slave actually wants freedom and he's weird for it. Neville is made fun of right to the last book, despite being a hero from the first.

Kids books dont have to be flawless, but lets not forget that one of the main characters is continuelly mocked, from book 1, for being compassionate, clever, and not being pretty enough.

JKR is a bad storyteller. The books seem great because 1. lots of fun descriptions 2. you were a kid when you first read it. If you analyse them on any level, they are bad. Bad structure. Muddled storytelling. Bad or no character development.

As an ex midwife, I have a complicated relationship with children- especially babies- in horror. Often they are used as cheap props for shock value. Dead Space is actually no different in that regard, they just happen to be unintentionally hilarious to me, for all the wrong reasons.

I've just finished it. It's a very thoughtful game, I love a lot of it but also it feels slightly out of kilter with the rest of the Silent Hill offerings. Not bad at all, just... different. A bit slower, somehow? Love the monsters, and the acting. Amazing graphics, too!

I'm probably a very bad person for laughing every time Isaac Clarke shoots a necromorph baby in Dead Space 2 and its head just.... rolls off across the room. Like these things are SO HORRIBLE and yet their heads just turn into ugly beach balls as soon as you kill them.
