The movies did a lot of heavy-lifting to make HP appealing. Removed some bad parts, and good parts got more spectacle. (When Dumbledore fights in the books, it's boring; the director spiced it up)
The books' world-building is so problematic and the prose is AWFUL, when I re-read them as an adult 💔
