I also think about how many of my mentors I've lost to old age over the last couple of years and how many of them kept mentoring, and how few beneficiaries have followed suit. We need a real renaissance of mentoring and institutional knowledge sharing.

we don’t teach young people short-term history, so it was weird when i realized that gen z had no idea that so many gen x and millennials spent our high school years protesting george w bush and not just because of the wars, but because mosques were being targeted and sikh men were being attacked
