Hey, fellow galleychatters, I hope to make it, but I'm not feeling well, so I may have to take it to my bed. If I'm not there, I'll post my titles later. #ewgc

A reminder that our next GalleyChat comes up in just three short weeks, on October 1, so everyone, get crackin' on those advanced DRCs and ARCs, OK? :-) #ewgc

Any fans of Iain Reid's books (author of I'M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS)? His next book is co-authored with Ellie Foumbi, A NEW KIND OF CLEAN & eager to see what new twists they have up their sleeves. #ewgc

I let out a little squeal when I saw the next Alice Feeney book, TWIST (February), was available on Edelweiss. #ewgc www.edelweiss.plus?sku=12504246...

When I worked in the library, I always meant to read Julian Gloag's OUR MOTHER'S HOUSE but never did. I was happy to see it being re-released by @penguinrandomhouse.bsky.social, so I downloaded a DRC on Edelweiss. Eager to finally read this gothic-toned dark novel. #ewgc

I read Jane Wiedlin's memoir, TMI: MEMOIRS OF A GO-GO, and yep, a little too much TMI but it was definitely entertaining. She "bares" all, pretty much. #ewgc

A goal #ewgc is spreading the word about future releases. I think I may have won in this regard. Yesterday I posted in Facebook's Historical Fiction Fiction Lovers group about Marie Benedict's next book, WITCH OF WALL STREET, coming in March and the post has over 1100 likes! Heh.

Right now, I am inhaling Caitlin Doughty's DEAD IN THE WATER (April), with in-depth reporting about the Titanic passengers. I'm only 10 pages in and already have chills. She is such a compelling writer. #ewgc

SPEECHLESS by Jordan Sawyer (January) has many of us buzzing about the author's true identity-- a bestselling author who lives in NYC and Sag Harbour . Any guesses? It's next on my TBR pile. #ewgc

I usually wait for Janet Evanovich's books featuring Stephanie Plum to arrive in audio, but I didn't want to wait, so I snapped up the digital review copy of SPLIT SECOND (November). It was, as usual, a fun romp, and I didn't miss the audio since the voices are in my head. #ewgc

Hey Galleychatters, our next #ewgc chat will take place on September 10 instead of the 3rd. We would hate to leave out anyone who might be doing an early exit for the Labor Day weekend.

Before I leave, our next GC is scheduled for the Thursday before the Labor Day weekend. Any thoughts on postponing until September 10? Seems many are busy, preparing to leave early or dreaming of a 3-day weekend and forgetting about GC. #ewgc

I am always up for a good memoir or biography of celebrities so I am looking forward to BOB NEWHART by Michael Starr (Oct) and IS IT TOO LATE TO MAKE A RUN FOR IT by Judy Dench (November). #ewgc

I recently discovered the joy of listening to Edward Ashton's science fiction book MICKEY7 on audio and am looking forward to the next in the series, including MICKEY PRIME, coming in February 2027. It was a good readalike for fans of the Murderbot series. #ewgc

I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but my sister read Jane Wiedlin's memoir, TMI (Nov). The guitarist and founder of the Go-Go's tells readers they may want to know, but my sis found it both hilarious and touching. #ewgc

Peter Swanson's DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE (Oct) was a fun gumdrop of a holiday story. It was short and sweet, and a bit like an Agatha Christie locked room mystery. #ewgc

As usual, I inhaled the next Beaumont mystery by JA Jance, THE TAKEN ONES (November), and was left with both happy and sad feelings -- happy because I was such a good story with it's usual array of appealing people, but sad because it will be two years before another one is published. #ewgc

I know I'm a week or two late but I absolutely loved THE FOURSOME by Christina Baker Kline. Fascinating history and family. It was fun to go down a rabbit hole looking up photos and history. No wonder the women looked a little chagrined: 21 kids between the two of them! #ewgc
