Corporate needs you to find the difference between these two pictures:
An image of Elizabeth Holmes talking to Nathan Fielder, from the upcoming documentary. Holmes' face is in full view and she is wide eyed with a strained looking smile. Nathan Fielder is facing away from us. The two are uncomfortably close to each other for two people having a documentary conversation.Lauren Layfield (a human woman) and Hacker T. dog (a canine puppet) from the show CBBC HQ. They are inches away from each other, staring into each others' eyes. Hacker is in the middle of delivering the iconic, nonsensical, improvised endlessly memeable line "we're just normal men... we're just innocent men" - which is going to cause both of them to crack up and corpse for the rest of the segment on live TV.

Full Lid!! Alasdair asked me to say a bit about that fucking wizard school story in 2026, and I was VERY happy to oblige. A lot of people - especially but not just creatives - need to stop tricking themselves into believing their little nostalgia habit is forgiveable and harmless.

Not sure anyone here will be able to help with this, but I'll try anyway: does anyone have any recommendations for Lego news/reviews from people who DON'T cover the TERF wizard sets? Specifically Youtube since that's where I waste most of my time. But I'll take any fan media if it has principles.

Sweet, strange uncitizens: ONCE I WAS MADE OF EARTH is here, an epic fantasy that's been ratling in my brain for years now and that I'm putting out into the world serially outside of the capitalist publishing apparatus. Share, and read, and comment. archiveofourown.org/works/91618061
The painting "The Moment" by James Warden, with the text "Once I Was Made of Earth" on it by Rivers Solomon. The painting is in the romantic style, quite dramatic and dark in tone if not colour, with a horse rearing with fear in its eyes as a snake launches to bite it, against a back drop of pink and blue mountains.

As mainstream publishing steers itself away from even the thinnest veneer of diversity towards conservative propaganda disguised as sexy empowerment... the real problem is small magazine editors and micropresses not publishing exclusively glittering prose that arrives fully formed in the slush pile?

#TheFullLid -3rd July - Happy Friday! This week @brandtandstein.com introduce us to the Worst Man, the ALA tell us to read, Twiglet is adorable and @ibuiltthesky.bsky.social plays us into the weekend! mailchi.mp/59c2027ab412...
On top of a basically exploded wedding cake, Chris Kafka sits. He is a very large man with long ish scruffy black hair, stubble and a white shirt and purple tie and jacket. He's not wearing socks but is in leather loafers. It looks good. In his arms, leaning backwards and toasting us with an enormous shiteating grin is Rad Raleigh. Slender, red haired, red suited, black shirted, yellow tied and entirely without filter, Rad is clearly having a ball. Chris is not. Written over them on a wedding invite style title card is BRANDT & STEIN-WORST MANMiss Piggy in a super cute kicky denim skirt and blouse picks books from the top of a shelf as Kermit reads next to her.

Twiglet the white cat with pink ears sits neatly on a dark blue carpet, tail kinked, looking up at the camera.A smiling be-suited man with red hair and a beard holds a hand up to a bird, which lands on it. He, the bird and the desk he's leaning against are all on fire. He doesn't care and neither should you. At the top is the title I BUILT THE SKY - PROMISE ME YOU'LL THRIVE.

Introducing Styx! She is a rescued ex-racing greyhound, switching to a new career of sofa stealer, ear model and minor sff pet celebrity. She was in foster for a little while before joining me but home life is still a bit confusing for her. Still, she's determined to cuddle her way through it ❤️
A brindle greyhound in a blue fleece, lounging on a sofa and staring at the camera. One of her ears is flopping the wrong way, giving her a combover look. The same greyhound, without clothes, standing around in a living room with a big fluffy white bed in the background. Her ears are both pointing the wrong way up on her head.Same greyhound, back on the sofa, lying on a blanket and staring at the human like "oh was this your spot?"Same greyhound, lying on the lap of a human who is mostly out of frame except for part of her body and an arm which is draped lightly on the dog's neck. The dog has her eyes almost closed in sleep.

Labour are just completely committed to this, they are simply all in on becoming repulsive racists on the grounds of some admixture of sincere belief and that Reform would be worse (the latter of which I guess is true, but is true in part because they are shifting the permissibility window outward).
