Things I want folks to take away from this last ~week: 1. The city of L.A. is so big and exists within the larger context of L.A. County, which includes 88 incorporated cities. And that's just geographically. When it comes to population, one out of every 35 U.S. residents lives in L.A. County.

The Houston Landing's board members stood out to me as I've been reading more about the fall of the outlet. Such a small board with half of them major donors. I wonder if a larger board with diverse expertise (financial, community, editorial) might have helped it adjust course with more input.
