Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay from July 31, 1910. Yep, people used to get this in their Sunday comic section in the newspaper.

In one of the more magnificent installments of Nemo, the story starts out with Nemo on a tour on an airship (large zeppelin) and the captain has fallen ill. But Nemo still gets a tour of the zoo that contains many unique creatures spectacularly drawn by McCay. Many are similar to animals we know, like an elephant or zebra, but with characteristics of other animals blended it.

Rewatched O Brother Where Art Thou? and yeah, still the best filmed version of the Odyssey yet (I say this as someone who thoroughly enjoyed the latest one). The Coen brothers apparently had never read the poem before they wrote the film, which tells you how much that matters for quality.

I have now fully caught up with Age of Bronze – and this is phenomenal stuff. Anyone who wants an "accurate" depiction of Homeric epic should check this out – Shanower has done more of the homework than you have, almost anywhere. Now I'm desperate to see this story finished. Incredible work.
