I really wanted to see Coyote Vs Acme in cinemas, but its only on during work hours, and the session on the weekend is kid's party package screening. Legit going to have to wait until streaming. 😥

My favourite Conan Oscars joke was the F1 ALL CAPS one. He said he did that for himself, but many other nerds and geeks appreciated it.

Adele K. Thomas @adelekthomas.bsky.social · 16/03/2026

So, the Oscars allows long as unfunny comedy bits from presenters, but can't allow a winner to say their thank yous??? If I was the next presenter, Id take that winner speech and read it instead of my bit. Even the crowd wasnt pleased.

The Twitter/X algorithm is SO sensitive that I've managed to curate 90% of my feed to BTS content. I don't post, but it's great for a info dump intake. Bluesky is more like old Twitter, as in I'm hardly here. Threads is THE place for Millennials. We're talking to strangers like we know each other.

Sometimes I sing a couple of lines of a song to myself "really well" and think, 'Maybe I CAN sing?' ...only for my voice to break and know Im best to continue singing to myself in the car. I don't think the latter occurs to enough people tbh.

Im in that strange void where things I've work towards for the past few years are lining up, but Im experienced and cynical to know not to get exited in case I jinx it, and know not to get excited because things fall through/cancel even after a green light. How good are the creative industries?! 😅

During the Heathcliff and Cathy Wuthering Heights hot 'n' heavy scenes, I thought to myself, 'these Queenslanders are bringing back classic pashing to cinema', and I'm here for it. 🤪👅👄 As were the other women of all ages in the session. A woman left with her pre-teen early on. It's for the best.

A couple of weeks ago I listened to nothing but BTS and EXO for a week, almost all of their back catalogue. Never really took notice of KPop in general, but I like to try anything. As a 90's boyband fan I can 100% say I get it. They'd be fun to see live.

New Scholastic Australia series coming soon! The Tinysaurs! The Tinysaurs are the smallest dinosaurs in the land: living in tunnels, foraging for food and hiding out of the way of big stomping feet and swooshing tails. Until one day, they discover a hidden entrance to ... THE ENCHANTED VALLEY!

Still bonkers that toy companies didn't jump on a licencing deal for KPop Demon Hunters, and they only showed a "soft interest". Until Mattel & Hasbro sticks stuff on the shelves, there are these for Christmas 😅

This is a shock if true. Besides working on a Nelvana series as a character designer, like millions of kids & adults around the world, they filled my childhood with hours of fun & inspiration. I know many of my peers will be sad at this news. My best to all those who worked with & for the studio.

You know who is good at Director Commentaries? Phillip Noyce. I'm watching The Saint, and his commentary is so in-depth. He gets so much information out. It's fantastic. I think he was reading his own Making of the Saint notes. ...still want the Salt 2 film btw.

I've just caught up on the news of Jim Smith passing. His work and artistic inspiration lasted for decades. He was a layout artist, storyboarder, designer, animator and much more. His design work in Ren & Stimpy caught my attention as a teenager. Thoughts go out to family, friends & colleagues 💐

This is something that continues to frustrate me in Australian publishing, and something I keep having to bring up in Australian literary interviews. I can’t make Nightwing or Neverlanders. The artist of a picture book or a comic is the co-storyteller.

An actress has been hitting the promo circuits on TV & online recently, and not once have I seen or heard them mention their picture book's illustrator. I can't understand why celebrities refuse to utter the name of the person who visually brought their book to life. It takes 2 seconds. Do better!
