There’s something beautiful about witnessing the birth of a cargo bike.

‘It’s the best feeling’: how Copenhagen gave cyclists a green wave. “Traffic lights are synchronised so a rush-hour cyclist at 20km/h can catch green lights all the way.” If you want people to choose not to drive, make the non-driving trip better & easier for them. It’s as simple as that, really.

If you live in an urban or suburban area and most or all public amenities are too far away for most people to walk, that did not happen by accident and it does not have to stay that way.

Visiting Chicago IL from Perth Western Australia I so much appreciated being able to walk, cycle, and transit to points of interest around town. The 2.5 million people footprint of the greater Perth region in overlayed Chicago embraces 10-12 million people.

It’s important to ride your bike for errands so friends can spot your bike when they park theirs & come find you inside the store. I have no idea what kind of cars any of my friends drive, but I know their bikes! (& searching parking lots for a car is hard compared to finding bikes at 🚲 parking)

Probably more number 2. It will still be 💩, but the people most responsible like the military rentiers & profiteers will be largely isolated from the consequences. If anything the more apocalyptically difficult for the majority of the world's population will be more profitable for the war pigs.

Run some errands with a baby and a full sized stroller on a bike? Yeah, that's no problem with our @bunchbike.com.

Property is Power. (In our current economic system) The current executive of Adventure Cycling Association is trying to sell their fully owned property at 150 E. Pine Street in Missoula, Montana, USA. Please vote NO if you have a vote. saveacahq.org

Perth, Western Australia, is blessed with some amazing bike routes. Our Principal Shared Paths system gives safe continuous access, for pedestrians and cyclists, to much of the Greater metropolitan area. youtube.com/shorts/_zh8v...

Late Diljba(Noongar season) and first hot-ish day of Anglo spring and first bushfires on the Darling Scarp. Smoke from bushfires make for spectacular sunsets.

An Australian bank is using Alaskan Malamutes in their current promotions. That means that our Snowdog and other rescues will be inundated Malamutes and Huskies in 9-18 months time.

Like there are people we personally know who should not have access to firearms. There are also people we know who should not be able to operate a motor vehicle. They should only be passengers.

Preferential voting is way ahead of 1st past the post like USA & UK, but proportional voting is the fairest most democratic system. This is how the Australian House of Representatives would look if we had Proportional voting.

3 near hits as a pedestrian, while walking on footpaths by car wearers running over curbs to avoid rear-ending other car wearers. And NO! we are not talking driveways or road intersections. Never by a villainous cyclist. (Even though cyclists are allowed to ride on the footpath in my jurisdiction).

Boorloo Bridge is definitely open. A very welcome addition to Perth's multimodal transportation network.
