I've been struggling with my feelings about leaving game dev. With Nate passing, I felt at first like I'd failed to live up to his belief in me. But recently I've come to the conclusion that, actually, the games industry has failed to live up to my belief in it.

I'm not sure how to start this. So I'm going to speak from the heart and share the truth. Ed Sheeran and his team have made the decision to remove me from The Loop tour.

But before I get into it, I want to say something that should be obvious. In this moment I think it matters. I am not a victim. Ed Sheeran is not a victim. Pink is not a victim. We have careers, money, opportunities, safety and audiences around the world. Whatever consequences any of us face for what we say, we get to go home to our families.

The victims are the Palestinian people. The men, women and children who have been killed, starved, displaced and forced to live through unimaginable violence. More than 20,000 children have been killed in Gaza alone. People are being killed today, and people will be killed tomorrow. I want to make sure that as I tell this story, we don't lose sight of that.

Every so often I come to the revelation that having a disability means you are a disabled person, so spaces for disabled people do in fact apply to you. To clarify, this is a good thing, just frustrating to realize that I've not been as confident in my voice as I perhaps could have been.

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.

This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

Saber finally added the AI disclosure to Steam for Rideshare “Stimulator” and it’s even worse than I said it was. I can see why the CEO crashed out when I pointed it out.

Generated Content like this:
The main Campaign story, characters, and dialogue are written by a team of human writers. Al tools are used for voice generation and some localization.

The optional Free Ride mode includes Al-generated passenger missions and localized dialogue. Free Ride mode is separate from the main Campaign and can be skipped by players who prefer to experience only human-written narrative content.

The game also includes a mix of radio stations featuring human-made music and Al-generated music. Stations containing Al-generated music are clearly labeled as such in the game.

A certain AAA studio told employees that their internal gen AI was trained only on local data, but whenever said employees tried to generate an image of a woman holding a gun, it generated Lara Croft. The studio was not Crystal Dynamics, and had never worked on the Tomb Raider IP in any capacity.

When I worked on Space Marine 2 I became the target of a mass harassment campaign by the worst corners of the 40K fandom. Saber tried to deal with the problem by asking me to remove that I worked for them from my social media. I refused. Not at all surprised by this behaviour from Karch.
