Speaking of conversions I do... here's one I just finished yesterday. This my take on Ellania and Ellathor for the Cathay themed Lumineth Realm-Lords I've been working on. I really enjoy how true to the spirit of the original model this is. #warhammer #paintingwarhammer #ageofsigmar

PAINT. IT. YOURSELF. Now with moving images and music. 7/15 slots are sold already. Got some fun little projects coming up. One of them could be something for you. I build it, you paint it to match your army. DM now for a chat or to book a slot. #warhammer #warhammer40k #ageofsigmar

Half the slots now gone, so if you were tempted but sitting on the fence, don't sit on it too long... Got some really amazing little projects coming up through this. It's been really fun chatting with people about their ideas and how to bring them to life. #warhammer #warhammer40k #ageofsigmar

Someone just pointed out my DMs were not, in fact, open. I really do suck at capitalism. Sorry not sorry. They are open now 📬

PAINT. IT. YOURSELF. I didn't use AI to make these graphics and it took me most of my day off yesterday to do so. In light of this, I am going to be posting them all week while I run this promotion. I build it. You paint it. Big. Medium. Small. 4/15 slots sold in 24hrs so think fast. #warhammer

I'm doing a limited run of commissions where I build you something new and unique and you paint it yourself. I'm almost certainly going to be out of pocket if all slots sell but then if they do I guess that's proof of concept 🤷‍♂️ DMs are open (I think) #Warhammer #paintingwarhammer #warhammer40k

Just a picture of some Flawless Blades I painted. 18 in total. On top of the 40 Infractors too. I have painted a lots of lads with swords for a game where there are so many other lads with guns. #warhammer40000 #warhammer #paintingwarhammer

It's not just Traitor Primarchs and Daemon Princes that go to war in the grimdark of the far future. You also need lads. Here's 10 lads of the 60 I painted for this project, which I think is enough lads to run any combination of lads you might need? #warhammer40000 #warhammer40k #paintingwarhammer

Anyone looking for or know anyone looking for a ticket to Age of Sigmar LGT? It's sold out now, I believe. I still have PTSD from playing for Team England and can't stomach an event yet but I was just reminded I have a ticket for it 🤣 I think it was £60 but I'll accept a reasonable offer...

For the first close up, it has to be none other than The Phoenician himself. I'm really pleased with the colours on the wings and tail because it really pops when it's sat with the rest of the army, which truly makes him stand out—and that is exactly what Fulgrim would want, right? #warhammer40000

Guys, it finally happened. After 8 years of running Studio Erstwood full-time, I finally got a 40k commission. I now have conclusive proof that just because I only paint bows and arrows, doesn't mean I can't also paint guns...

Put some paint on these custom endless spells for Daughters of Khaine. Just a quick and dirty job as they needed to be done and shipped so they the arrive in time for an event next weekend.

Benjamin @studioerstwood.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Finished my bespoke Shrine of Dark Tribute. Painted to march my Daughter's of Khaine (picture 3), so had to stick to the simple, muted palette of mostly monochrome, except for the desaturated purple that is a staple in all Erstwood armies. Simple but very effective at helping to sell the theme.

The best thing about Warhammer is that it is analogue, it is physical and most importantly it encourages creativity. Don't use AI to promote your brand or services. Putting text over an image is easy. Reject AI. Embrace DIY. Up the punks! Support independent artists. Book a commission now.

Scratch built a Shrine of Dark Tribute for my Daughter's of Khaine using some balsa wood, some coffee stirers and the dude from Cursed City. Going to call this piece "Elon Musk".

Made some more Erstwood themed Manifestations, this time for the Daughters of Khaine. Went for a more witch/cult/occult theme than garish blood effects. Much better I think.

Kill Team: Riverblades Some kitbashed Riverblades to join the Cathay themed Lumineth Realm-Lords. Quite a simple conversion really but I dunno man, I think is super effective. Fully in love with these fellas.

My first ever custom 40k build. A Daemon Prince of Slaanesh for a huge Emperor's Children army I've been working on this year. I am thinking about opening up some slots for just conversions, not paint job, just the build. Paint it yourself. If this is something you'd be interested on hit me up.

Next up on the painting desk on the road to Worlds 2026, is my take on the Length Vexilor. This was a last minute addition to my list, one which I was very happy about as it meant I could do a Stormcast version of the collage banners that I make for my Soulblight army.

Can't stand the silly portaloo so I scratch built a Stormportal for myself. Trying to finally get this army finished in time for Worlds next month.

Boosting this Tweet, purely for the drama. I actually drafted a similar post this morning because I low-key kinda miss the competitive AoS Twitter beef. Simpler times, man. In case you don't know, someone won a Golden Ticket with new Tzeentch this weekend even though the book isn't released yet.

Hold on, did someone just win a GT/Golden ticket with an unreleased book? Wonder what the thinking was from player/TO in allowing that? As a competitive player, I’d be a bit miffed to play/lose to that 😂

Popped this guy on the spinny thingamajig. NGL, swapping out the Radukur chest for a Stormcast breastplate and still making the cloak and wolf fit around it was maybe one of the hardest conversions I've every and I would like someone to appreciate that level dedication to theme. Thank you. 😅
