Nee was originally a merrow, who stop aging at some point and mostly just grow after that. There is also the whole thing that attacking a merrow is a VERY bad idea in the setting of the story Mortality itself is a new worry to nem, let alone the idea of it being a question of 'when' instead of 'if'

I just finished 'The Witch Of The Wood' by @applesncinnamon.bsky.social now that I'm back to functioning again! 5/5⭐️ 60 pages and I wanted to cry through all of them for varying reasons! (in a good way!) The curse description is delightfully horrifying and the characters beyond lovable! 🌈📚😱
