UPDATE I received the below update from the highways team: “Footway width is below recommended minimum 1m which may make it difficult for people who use a wheelchair to pass safely, as result a dropped kerb is not considered appropriate here” #AccessibleStreets 🧑‍🦽🧑‍🦼🧑‍🦯

Next up is the road straight ahead which is Elizabeth Fry Road which inexplicably has pavements which are less than 1 metre wide and also obstructed with poles Parking needs removing here and pavements widened.

This is a still from a clip from Facebook of a contractor's finished work to install a dropped kerb in Colchester, Essex which of course slopes it from the back of footway to the dropped kerb, which is not in line with national guidance. 1/5
