UPDATE I received the below update from the highways team: “Footway width is below recommended minimum 1m which may make it difficult for people who use a wheelchair to pass safely, as result a dropped kerb is not considered appropriate here” #AccessibleStreets 🧑‍🦽🧑‍🦼🧑‍🦯

Next up is the road straight ahead which is Elizabeth Fry Road which inexplicably has pavements which are less than 1 metre wide and also obstructed with poles Parking needs removing here and pavements widened.

That brings this 🧵 of Bethnal Green West ward to an end. I first documented & sent a report to the Cllrs at the time back in June 2021. I have followed up multiple times with Cllrs & the council, but still 5 years on the vast majority of these issues raised are not resolved #AccessibleStreets 🧑‍🦽 🧑‍🦼 🧑‍🦯
