Opening Nano on the SSH'd server works via Konsole but crashes when using Kitty(??). Now I have _three_ different terminal apps on one laptop.

I wonder how much simpler the architecture of the web could have been if the IP space had been made large enough to use IPs as unique identifiers for every web service humans could ever need, including ephemeral ones, with an unimaginable amount of room to spare.

Alita bra strap m... nevermind.

Digital two-page comic of Alita (a young dark-haired girl who is entirely cybernetic from the neck down) from the manga Battle Angel Alita. She is wearing black track pants and a white sleeveless top.

In the first panel her top has slipped down off her left shoulder, exposing what looks like a black strap underneath. A voice off screen is saying "Your bra strap is showing."

In the second panel she has reached over and detached her left arm at the shoulder, revealing that what looked like a bra strap was just the seam where her arm connects to her torso.

I am starting to suspect that not setting up SSH right away on the basis that my to-be 'server' is quite literally sitting on the same table as my main laptop was not that good of an idea after all. Will hopefully get to that eventually.

How do I tell a person that 'AI is not supposed to recognize me yet it does and adjusts the way it responds' is at best, wishful thinking and at worst, a sign of chatbots profiling users in spite of (surprise!) silly things like 'private chats' and the incognito mode.

tl;dr LJ in the Aughts had become a place where Russians were able to organize outside of state control (servers in CA!) until inevitably a Russian banker with "alleged" Kremlin ties bought it. now the servers are... in Russia. And people have been sentenced to prison for blog opinions.

Slowly getting the hang of using Nix for basic package management. Of particular help, is the fact that nixpkgs appears to have _literally_everything_, more so than even AUR. Though, that did cause me a bit of confused troubleshooting as I already managed to encounter a name collision.
