If you think we were prudent in declining Rogers but were ok to pursue Vini yet think Barcola is overpriced but are underwhelmed by Ndjaye yet don’t want anything to do with Rashford but think Antonio Nusa isn’t the one yet are sure we MUST move on from Martinelli then, well, shrug emoji.

Yes, thought as much but thanks for the clarification :) Should’ve put A Real Madrid account. Mea culpa! In my experience, that’s quite rare for Romano to do.

www.instagram.com/p/DbkziBdiE-... Oh OK, just saw this. Fab doesn’t say anything for weeks on the saga and now that Vini is back at training, he does a Real Madrid SHARED post. Again, little conspiracy for sure, but hey, we all know football is corrupted as hell, right?

My conspiracy take: Fabrizio Romano is on the Real Madrid payroll on this Vini saga. The guy has been proven to be totally buyable in the past and can imagine a world in which he would bend to Perez to keep a good relationship with a club of that stature. ‘Don’t make this harder, Fabrizio’

Bonus material: Let’s even ignore the trophies for a second. Chelsea made a 50mil PROFIT on Hazard, who they bought because of the extra £ they illegally gave to his agent for him to join them rather than united or city.

Mmmmh not sure. He tends to piggyback onto most transfer sagas as far as I see, regardless if he brought them up first. It’s so surprising. Especially since it must be one of the most clickbaity football transfer news around this summer. Arsenal fanbase notoriously reactive online.

Also, why has Fabrizio Romano stayed so silent regarding the Vini Jr saga? Any theories? 🤔

Imagine being Wenger. You lose the title in France (at Monaco) because Marseille cheated. You lose titles to Chelsea because they cheated. And now, all that happens to make it right is a fine worth less than buying a mediocre championship player. He must be losing his merde.

Yeah, I have no idea what they’re up to. But it’s nothing good. Chelsea just goes to show that you can cheat your way through getting amazing players that win you titles illegally and you get away with it with a 10mil fine. Wenger must be absolutely fuming.

“Changes have been made to WADA Technical Document which, while not retroactive, mean that if Mr Mudryk’s sample was collected today, the concentration of meldonium in the sample would not have been reported” the FA statement read. Isn’t that the literal DEFINITION of ‘retroactive’???

Got a sneaky feeling our backup is Nico Williams who has a release clause (anything between 70-100mil depending on who you listen to). Injury prone for sure but great player.

- for those who say we won’t pay the the salary: Ornstein says it’s already been approved by everybody at the club. Remember we paid around 300k£ per week to Ozil and Auba. So all in all, it’s looking pretty promising so far. But hey, it just takes for the smallest of things to go wrong on these.

- Diomande prefers playing RHS which doesn’t necessarily make it full-on like for like replacement of Vini, but hard not to see a correlation since he CAN and HAS played LHS too and is most definitely a marquee signing.

Abou’s Left Leg @aboudia.bsky.social · 26/07/2026
OK. Couple things: - Ignore the ‘Madrid set 160mil€ price for Vini’. The guy has 1 year left on his contract and Real are terrified of him going for free. - Mbappé and Vini are both best on LHS and that has always been a problem. - Vini surely won’t play for Mourinho after Benfica racism event.

300%! Arsenal were the first club in the UK to fully embrace black players. They were considered a foreign club by others for decades because they started signing players from abroad before most. They’re pretty much as multicultural as it gets in England and proud of it. Vini, come home, man.

So, Vini Jr is supposed to play for the manager that defended the guy who racially attacked him? Is there any way a cheeky Arsenal bid to Real Madrid could be in the works? I know his wages could be an issue but I miss the mercurial talent we used to last have with Sanchez. Was so much fun to watch.

Pep’s City’s football is based on control the exact same way Arsenal’s is. Main difference being moments of individual brilliance for which being able to pay players half a mil per week helps just a tad.

Today's blog. 👇
I loved the pictures and the videos and the stories of the scenes around the stadium on Tuesday evening. Not just because it was Arsenal fans celebrating an Arsenal victory, but I heard so many friends, and otherwise, talk about how wonderfully it represented the diversity of the area and how the club was fundamental to that. People of every stripe congregated to share something special, something positive, something to celebrate.

At a time when it feels like large gatherings of people are often built on divisiveness and hate, this was all about love. Love of the team, love of the club, love of the achievement, love of fellow fans regardless of what they look like, who they worship, where they come from, who they love, or anything else. Fuck knows we need more of that, and while I recognise Arsenal winning the title in this context, in these particular set of circumstances is rare and hard to replicate, I don't think that fundamental connection on a human level should feel as difficult to find as it so often does.
