As part of NASA's efforts to modernize and unify its websites, the raw image websites (Mars 2020, MSL, Psyche, Cassini, InSight) will be unified into a new tool. This will try to maintain as much compatibility as possible, but there will be some necessary changes.
ASA is undertaking an effort to modernize and unify its websites. As a result, there will be some changes to the Raw Images websites (active missions Mars 2020, MSL, and Psyche, and completed missions Cassini and InSIGHT). We are unifying the raw images sites across all supported missions, while attempting to retain as much compatibility as possible. Nevertheless, there will be some changes.

We are aware of the amazing work being done by dedicated enthusiasts and others using these sites, and want to make sure that we minimize disruption to your sites and tools. We therefore invite anyone who is interested to join us in the OpenPlanetary slack, in the #planetary-raw-images channel. We will be previewing our API plans there and - critically - want to hear about your use cases. What features do you most need? What modifications to our plans would make your life easier? What would you like to see on the site that isn’t there? While we can’t promise anything at this point, we will look at all requests to see if they’re doable in our schedule and budget.

You can join OpenPlanetary slack for free here:
https://openplanetary.org/join/
Please let me know if you have any difficulties signing up: Bob.Deen@jpl.nasa.gov

Thanks…

JAXA's Mars Moons eXplorer just announced a launch date: Oct 20, 2026! The team put out an awesome press kit that has TONS of information about the mission: fanfun.jaxa.jp/countdown/mm... I'm pretty obsessed with the beautiful poster they made too.

Tomorrow, we unveil the ACTUAL FLIGHT MODEL of the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) spacecraft (that is, the one that will go TO SPACE and LAND ON PHOBOS) to the media visiting us at Tanegashima. Until then, goodnight from a small island with the gateway to infinity (and beyond) 🚀
