There was a book about this called Bella about a haunted lifelike doll. What the book got wrong is that all lifelike dolls are haunted. I don’t make the rules.

I saw him at a cafe and lightly stalked him (followed him at a distance until my path turned naturally from his). His eyes were seriously glowy. I know nothing about him personally.

It will take perhaps 2 years to process the application, so I am patient. I am coy about my profession but I and my partner are very employable in Quebec (and we speak French). There is no present plan to actually move but you never know …

I re-read Gaudy Night as an adult and the entire book could be reimagined as a porcupine. The prickliness shone through (though also Harriet and Peter 4evah). I do appreciate that she would have been an incisive critic/reader.

During an unsupervised period I secretly watched this movie (Queen of Blood) where the space vampire picked off the crew and then died because the woman crewmember scratched her and she was hemophiliac but they brought the eggs to earth and I was shattered.

Fellow Zelazny fan @toomanyjs.bsky.social managed to obtain a deck of Nancy Kolar's "Chronicles of Amber" Tarot cards. This incredible bit of ephemera is hard to find, they were very limited edition and are easily damaged. He'd like to create archival quality scans. What's the best way to do so?
