For some reason, I was reminded of this today. A few years ago, one of our neighbours in Toronto (in a medium fancy neighborhood) put out a toilet for removal. Then other toilets started showing up.

Fascinating article; a similar one from @harpers.bsky.social has stayed with me since I read it years ago. I meditate daily and benefit from it but am not surprised that it is not helpful to everyone, and can be harmful to some people, especially those with a predisposition to psychosis.

I ordered a pile of Canadian yarn from a yarn store in Alberta and I commend their use of a recycled box to send it to me haha

Interesting to take this after growing up in the west but having lived in the Northeast, and of course Ontario (for 20 years now)... still mostly talk like I'm from the west coast, I guess. I definitely have adopted Canadian raising and other traits, but this is US-based...

My stable owner acquired some hens who had been “rooster’s favourites” at another farm, giving them a better life at her rooster-less property. Looking forward to seeing feathers grow back on these ladies! I think this one is Ameraucana? I did get a blue egg in today’s dozen..

I am a student on the MA in Clinical Counselling at the University of Chester and I am looking for participants for my research.
I am looking for participants who are:
Over 18
Practicing qualified counsellor of any modality
Member of BACP or NCPS
Participates in yarn crafts as a form of self-care.
Resident in England or Wales and fluent in English

Using my holiday to work on a project. This is a baenaet jeogori, the traditional first garment worn by newborn babies in Korea. Part of my exploration of Korean sewing traditions for the past couple of years.

Yesterday, for no apparent reason, a study participant I worked with about a decade ago, popped into my mind. Just now, the head of the lab I was with at the time emailed me to offer me co-authorship on a case study about that participant. Really delighted that this is being written up!

I never get tired of stories like these. I looked into this particular patient and it appears he received Casgevy— I was on the IRB at a hospital where that drug was first trialled and that was my first study as an official reviewer!
