Some have given up on masking as they think there's no point if masks can't singlehandedly eradicate a virus (a right wing talking point). What they're missing is that higher risk people can't even get healthcare due to a lack of masking. Masks make essential spaces accessible.

Fixed up this AGS-101 Gameboy Advance SP that was failing to boot when games were inserted. Really I just opened it up, cleaned the contacts of the game reader, and put it back together again lmao. The guy I got it from didn’t have the charger, so he gave me Pokémon Leafgreen instead! Hell yeah!!

This was the Pokémon yellow game before The board was in surprisingly good condition! It just needed a new battery soldered in and some isopropyl alcohol to the contacts, as someone had gone to town on it with a permanent marker on it for some reason?

Pokémon Firered was failing to boot half the time. Couldn’t pin point what the problem was—though some parts were faintly corroded. Mostly just needed a good scrub and a new case (the old one was broken—missing a whole chunk). It’s been working well since 🤞

Some additional info, for the nerds who are into it like me: Aside from the cosmetic flaws, the games needed some minor repairs Crystal had a botched battery replacement, so I had some solder to clean and then reflow, but it’s working well now

Repaired and re-shelled some old Pokémon gameboy games with beat up casings + added new stickers (Crystal is in its original casing, it was just missing a sticker)
