lol i realised the existing phone notes app I use (notally) already has the features i need (audio embed in notes, and tags so that I can sort thru the notes quickly) so its purely on me to actually use it properly

I do believe in abolition, as in a world without prisons. But I differ from mainstream abolitionists in that: - I believe this can only come about through violent revolution & decolonization - it can only come about through anti-statism, bc the state IS a prison

amamanita axaxaxanax glass seer @aags555.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

im pretty sure they must have made this album by like. procedurally generating melodies on monophonic instruments in a key, then moving around the keys gradually in the song. Then just capturing bits of that that sounded good.

amamanita axaxaxanax glass seer @aags555.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I think the hopeful feeling comes cuz the Bmaj7, followed by the prominent F note in the Bbm7, makes it feel like B lydian, i think thats where the hopeful magical feeling comes from. But then the Abm, and E♮ and tonic-feeling Eb in the melody, repositions it in Eb phrygian #autechre #musicTheory

amamanita axaxaxanax glass seer @aags555.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I always wondered why it had such a hopeful feeling in the first two chords, then a sensation of letting go in the second two. well i think i worked it out, the chords i worked out were Bmaj7/Eb, Bbm7/Db, Abm, Abm (with a bit of a b6)

amamanita axaxaxanax glass seer @aags555.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I think Oversteps is cool *because* it's not chord brained and focusses mainly on monophonic melodies, which gives it a very impressionistic feel. But for fun i wanted to try figure out the repeated part of See On See #autechre

like an equivalent amount of hours earlier too if u go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 10 and u wanna start getting up at 8 u gotta start going to bed at 22:00 now u cant just go to bed half hour earlier and expect ur body to do magic

amamanita axaxaxanax glass seer @aags555.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

everyone wants to wake up earlier but noone wants to admit that that requires going to sleep earlier
