this feeling will blow over eventually. i took a pretty major one today, but nothing thatd truly break my core, just harden my walls. at least it'd be hard to hurt me any further from here

im not sure what the word is, but in spite of how much less burdened i am, disappointment is maybe the biggest feeling ive felt this year collectively. i dont think ive been blown with feeling so let down by people i really loved in spite of everything so heavily.

one of the main games i had gotten my first gaming pc for was bioshock infinite, which i remember being a little let down by because it didnt really match up to the trailers. anyway, having played it on ps5 recently, its a little funny how the game does feel more at home on a controller.

silent hill townfall is very cool so far. i think i fuck with it the least so far out of the array of new (good) sh games but its mostly a few small things (the jumpscares arent cheap but just not a fan of them in general). the crtv stuff is really neat from what ive tinkered with.

ive had ideas, especially now that i can work on game stuff again, to transform my game concept "stay." from a story about a neet online sexworker in a silent hill 4 style setting into that character being a party member in a suburban rpg with everyone being some degree of a "taboo" to depict

i think im maybe more excited to see the world better realized since some things were always a little bit weird in the original. which was just hardware limitations and im sure also rushed development for the final year. but the slingshot room by itself had a ton of thought put into it.

i did hate the way the ocarina of time remake looked initially but once i saw adult links design has a cool motif to (something thats maybe still a spoiler if you like zelda lore) and how it's supposed to look like japanese puppets, overall, i do "fuck with it"

really enjoyed the mermaid island arc of chiikawa. i think having read it, i feel more cemented i enjoy the series in its own right vs it being a cute japanese thing with tons of merch (which i own several things of but still).

pc flat out died. hopefully can get things to make sure my project files are all right. will be a process but pretty sure i can reuse my gpu and ram without issue which seems to be 70% of the expense these days.
