If they aren’t a registered charity and they aren’t registered with the Fundraising Regulator (example logo below), it’s probably one of these scammy orgs where the ‘profit’ is a tiny fraction of the money you handed over and some bastard gets rich on your good intentions. Give to a real charity.

Today I'll be arguing that AI tools (specifically LLMs and AI agents) are NOT the future of health and social science but are more likely to be the death of health and social science. Here's a sneak peak slide with the main components of my argument.
Slides saying 'AI is not the future of health and social science' containing six statements: 1) AI cannot help with scientific reasoning, 2) AI tools are slop generators, 3) AI threatens the scientific craft, 4) The future of AI tools is Enshittification, 5) AI tools are unethical, 6) the future of science must be slow.

Generative AI is hugely damaging to the environment - using terrifying amounts of electricity and water, is built on stolen & copyrighted data, and usually provides incorrect or completely fabricated answers. It's of no use whatsoever, and there are no two sides to this.
