was curious what the various increments were, so here's the pnpm size bumps labelled!

A poorly annotated chart of the size of pnpm to install. At 12.0.0 it was rewritten in Rust (+27MB). At 12.1.0 it introduced more complex task orchestration (+1MB). At 12.4.0 it introduced support for Python and Rust packages (+2MB). At 12.5.0 it introduced support for Python env/runtimes (+3.5MB)

the e18e GitHub action noticing that ESLint introduced a duplicate dependency recently 👀 always keep an eye on your deep dependency changes! this one is because a ESLint bumped a dep whose own deps include duplicates (amusingly all of those are maintained by the same person, probably an accident!)

good timeline. this is magic-string, 140M dls/week. a week ago i asked if it could go ESM only - @sxzz.dev dropped a PR <1 day later 🎉 later, I removed sourcemaps and did 2 big CPU perf speed ups 🚀 love seeing a high impact package like this shrink and speed up

magic-string package dropping by 56% (304.9KB), then later by another 36% (86.8KB). Also changed to ESM only and enabled trusted publishing/provenance.

we still haven't officially launched the @e18e.dev CLI. some of that is because i wasn't happy with the install size... big step forward today thanks to @rman.dev, we've dropped 47MB and 100 deps! (you can use the cli today but a proper launch and blog post are coming soon!)

The e18e CLI package decreased in size by 47MB and dropped 108 dependencies.
