Even Nano Stores got rewritten in Rust! github.com/yaroher/nano... Seriously though, it’s an interesting experiment for connecting JS and Rust stores, for example, to speed up performance-critical parts when you’ve moved your app logic into Nano Stores.

Turn your website’s loading process into music. Forbes sounds surprisingly good. You could loop it and work to it. A great example of a website where someone clearly thought through every detail. We need more of that in the LLM era. blog.alena.rocks/en/artifacts...

After fascists won in Spain, “exilio” (“exile”) disappeared from some dictionaries. The regime avoided it publicly. “Emigración” suggested simply leaving; “exilio” implied coercion and the regime’s responsibility for forcing hundreds of thousands out. www.peterlang.com/document/119...

Wrote a Privacy Policy for humans for my Slow Reader in short & readable way. No copy-pasted legalese that covers the company and explains nothing. Thoughts? Most privacy policies are written, so nobody reads them. Doesn't have to be that way. dev.slowreader.app/docs/privacy

Nuclear Design Bureau is a game where you design atomic bombs in a physics simulation: start a chain reaction, reach 1 Mt, etc. It was nearly banned as a technology export, but its creator argued a 2D simulation couldn’t be turned into a 3D design. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXQ3...

A guide to Silicon Valley ideology: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TESCREAL I think it misses a key split: by the late 2010s, their faith in people’s ability to cooperate had faded, and the ideology shifted, even though they design the platforms that made cooperation harder.

The famous 1995 Ghost in the Shell anime was very different from the manga: the manga was funnier, lighter, and much more sexual. The new 2026 series, which just wrapped up yesterday, feels like the most faithful attempt yet to capture the spirit of the original manga.
