Join Us May 1: No Work, No School, No Shopping in Washington · Washington Indivisible Network
**May 1st is International Workers' Day—a day for workers across the world to celebrate the fight for labor rights.** This year, we're not just celebrating. We're protesting too. We're shutting down the economy to make the billionaires and wealthy corporations that are profiting off of mass deportations and attacks on our democracy feel the same economic pain workers feel every day. Here in Washington—and across our country— workers, students, and families will be marching, rallying, walking out and taking action together to demand: - ICE Out of our Communities. - Tax the rich so our families, not their fortunes, come first. - Expand democracy, and defend free and fair elections. Organizations across the country are calling for a day of “No School, No Work, No Shopping” to disrupt the takeover of our country. **Together we show where real power lives in this country: with workers, not billionaires.** Sign this pledge card today to commit to not working, shopping or going to school on May 1st. _Washington for All is a coalition managed by OneAmerica_
