Teachers, small business owners, and nurses in Washington are urging people to vote NO on 645. On the other side? Brian Heywood (a hedge fund guy that wants to cut his own taxes) and Donald Trump (the most unpopular president in our state’s history). The answer is clear: Vote NO on 645.

The so-called “wealth flight” is a myth. The facts? In Washington, the people with the lowest incomes pay 3.5x more in state and local taxes than the richest 1 percent. Those are the people we should be worried about leaving. Vote NO on I-645 this November.

"Revenue from the Millionaires Tax could fund free meals for every public school student in the state, and save participating families up to $1200 per year. If I-645 passes, instead of paying for kids’ lunches, that money will end up back in the pockets of multi-millionaires."

If passed, I-645 would eliminate $13 billion from the state budget, resulting in significant cuts to programs families rely on like K–12 education and healthcare.

The Millionaires Tax isn't about punishing success. It's about recognizing that success here was built with public investment, and asking those who benefited most to help sustain it. That’s why it’s vital to vote no on I-645. no645.com

If a person has made over a million dollars a year, they've done well in this state. This tax simply asks that they help keep the ladder in place for everyone else climbing it. That's not radical. That's just fair. no645.com
