Right? Same. Kind of like how I was wrapping up, in January 2020, a multi-month list of every pandemic film I could find of every international variety in an apocalyptic binge. 😆

China, Communist in name only, is all about private business and wealth-creation as long as it kisses the ring of the one party system. China loves compliance and surveillance. China loves a nationalist pride and company pride that muffles dissent. What’s NOT to love, for Trump?

The impacts of climate change in Canada are now largely irreversible and average temperatures are expected to rise by at least 3.5 C by the end of the century, a new government report warns.

I try to introduce my father (who voted for Trump 3 times) to ideas like THEY MIGHT BE LYING. “Dad, these people are just here to work because companies here want them and you pay less for it. If they were criminals, they would give you the numbers.” Him: “Hmm. But why would they deport them?”

Really, it’s their richest use of big data, plus they will get their way. And they can build a world where borders apply to other people, not to them. Borders are for controlling the flow of culture and labor, to them. What a vision.

He’ll never have self-reflection when shamed. Ever. He must counter shame and blame at minimum and attacks with the least excuse. It is his m.o. He’ll also never really admit if he is wrong.

No one even cares what is a war crime or not, anymore. All we ever really have to uphold principles, laws, treaties, constitutions, other such agreememts or social contracts? Just political will. That’s it. Political will.

What’s ironic is, on a related note, the fact that California doesn’t allow employee non-competes has caused companies that can afford to “pay to stay” or pay really high salaries when recruiting then favors growth and IP protection of the largest companies. Often until there is only one.

People would be shocked to find out how much this kind of thing probably happens for scientists to not bother with going through slow, proper channels. It is some hubris, all right. But go find some way of anonymous surveying of lab scientists to find some pathogens will be active ones too.

He does the classic defensive shame-project response so well, denying any knowledge of the principles on which the questions are based, in order to act like they are not worthy of an answer like a true GOP soldier using his maga manual. These people suck. But are very good at bad argument.

Good luck with any consistent treatment course then since these are chronically in short supply and many of us go through withdrawal and migraines with aura and all-nighter sleeplessness when there are no more at pharmacies. So you had better study the effect on cancer of pulsing estradiol exposure.

Exactly. This has been happening in the US: Garbage notes. Incentives to keep the garbage or get assigned more patients because notes are short. Disincentive to fix bad notes. Signing off on slop because its sheer magical specificity creates the illusory truth effect in mind of provider reviewer.
