Exactly. This has been happening in the US: Garbage notes. Incentives to keep the garbage or get assigned more patients because notes are short. Disincentive to fix bad notes. Signing off on slop because its sheer magical specificity creates the illusory truth effect in mind of provider reviewer.

The hilarious thing is we and our visitors and attendants are crammed in the smallest room on the floor, all the rooms around us empty. It’s Christmas and this is the joint replacement floor. It’s also flu season. So we are trying to get iatrogenic (or insurotrogenic?) flu.

At some point my mupirocin tube ends up on other patient’s side so we fetch it. At another point, the neighbor whips, keeps open the curtain which was barely fully closed. Looks square at me. I mean, it did not hide her TV screen and its audio all night long. It was an illusory veil and she knew it.

To be clear: the room then ALSO has the lunch lady, the other patient’s neighbor, a paid housekeeper/caregiver who realizes his ward is going to rehab so he’ll not work for 2 weeks, plus my own kid and spouse, all moving carts/trays/chairs like tetris blocks because the room is small.

In this instance: let’s LIE that it is about privacy and then stick these same patients in a tiny room together and then make them pee and poop on commodes without privacy, openly discuss their homes, meds, other conditions
