Online safety is more important than ever right now, and most people give away their location online unknowingly. I'm Eliza Orlins, a career public defender for 15 years in Manhattan. I spend a lot of time thinking about safety—both offline and online. Here are 10 ways to keep yourself safe 👇

They’re using car electronics in combination with government surveillance apps now. It’s a different game altogether.

Good to know ... thanks. Can't imagine the exhaustive tactics public figures have to take. The newest one concerning is people expressing a generic opinion about Kirk.

1. If you're going to post about a place, share your location after you've left, not while you're there. Delay posts about where you were until you're safely somewhere else.

Thank you. You motivated me to finally delete the X app from the phone. I still read things there but no reason it needs to travel with me.

TY for the valuable 411. I'm hoping that we don't get to where we have to do this yet it's always good to be cautious.🥰 I've been working a psyop on my sis(maga) & i think I finally got through to her. I'll share when I've confirmed it. No one wants to be fooled into becoming a traitor.

Thanks for this advice! I worked in a school and learned from the resource officer that he can track students that AWOL through Snapchat and it sent me down a rabbit hole of online tracking/safety. It’s wild how much we agree too when signing-on to apps.
