Back in spring 2022 (Russian invasion of Ukraine), oil prices went to ~ $114/bbl & US gas prices went to ~ $5.15/gal (monthly, inflation-adjusted). Conditions now seem way more historic. Polymarket predictions significantly north of $120-$200/bbl in months ahead. And, Trump is going on 'a feeling'!😱

Good news: Oil stocks are going to jump 20% tomorrow. Bad news: If this keeps going the rise in #oilprices could trigger #hyperinflation or #runawayinflation. Triple the oil price = triple the price for transporting food/etc. Workers start demanding more pay. Feedback loop. #inflation

A local home heating oil here has a big sign saying the cash price for oil. About a week ago, it was $3.84 a gallon. As of two hours ago today, it was $4.81.
